CHARTERED INSTITUTE OF TREASURY MANAGEMENT

GENERAL INFORMATION FOR MEMBERS

DATE: JUNE 1ST 2024.

This is to inform all members of Chartered Institute of Treasury Management the following:

1. That the Council of the Institute had its meeting on May 1st, 2024 via Video Conferencing during which the Council was dissolved according to the ACT establishing the Institute and haven been in office for 2 years.

2. That before the dissolution of the Council, four (4) members (non-council members), the Registrar, and an official from the Secretariat were appointed Electoral Committee to carry out election of new council members for the Institute.

3. That the Committee headed by Mr. Olufemi Adegoke, a fellow of the Institute had sat severally within this period and outlined the following as the programme for the upcoming election:

a.  June 1, 2024 - Dissemination of information to all members about the election process and availability of the nomination form.

i. All members willing to be a council member is to download the nomination form from the Institute Website at the cost of N10,000.00

ii. Payment for form should be made into FCMB account 2002300215 in favour of CITM (NOTE: Payment for form does not guarantee Council seat or election into Council) funds will not be refunded to unsuccessful candidates!

b. June 14, 2024 - The last day for the submission of the nomination form to the Secretariat.

i. Completed Form should be scanned and submitted to info@citmnigeria.org

ii. Nominated members should submit attestation letters from both endorsers and sponsor scanned alongside form and payment for form advice.

c. June 21, 2024 - Posting of the list of successful candidates for election.

d. June 28, 2028 – Opening of Election portal for voting for one week ending July 5, 2024.

e. July 12, 2024 – Declaration of Winners of Election on all platforms.

f. August 8, 2024 – Institute Annual General Meeting.

4. Further Information:

a. Only Financial Members are eligible to vote. (Both Annual Subscription and MCPTP)

b. Council Membership is not open to Graduate Members

c. Grievances are to be addressed to Electoral Committee only via the Secretariat.

d. AGM modalities will be communicated in due time.

e. Changes to any of the above date will be communicated as necessary.

f. Only financial members who have paid their annual subscriptions for at least 2023/2024 will be eligible to exercise their franchise.
